A Facebook phone: will it be trusted?

There have been plenty rumours now of an upcoming Facebook Phone, a smartphone that would be launched by Big F. Industry analyst Greg Sterling doubts whether that is a good idea. He has reasons to predict an outright failure.

First, there have been special feature smartphones before, aimed completely at the social media market. Some even have a share button. Or had, one must nearly say. In Sterling’s opinion, the main problem might not be technology. The big issue is whether Facebook will be trusted enough by its members.
